4 years agoNew England patriots quarterback Cam Newton (COVID-19) is unlikely to be back for Week 5 after testing positive for COVID-19. Nothing is set in stone yet, but Newton would have to pass two tests once the virus leaves his body, which becomes harder when there's just one week to do it. It seems likely that Brian Hoyer will be more than just a fill-in for one game. Hoyer is a downgrade from Newton, though receivers Julian Edelman and N'Keal Harry can still be played, as they'll be the top two targets in this offense no matter who's under center.--Tim Capurso
