Ronald Jones II Has 100-Yard Day
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II took advantage of the absence of fellow back Leonard Fournette (ankle). Jones II powered his way to his second career 100-yard game, rushing for 111 yards on 20 attempts along with six catches on nine targets. The workload was enormous for the 23-year-old, as no other back totaled more than five touches for the Buccaneers. Jones II looked very convincing in his role as the lead back and it will be interesting to see if he has earned himself more touches even with a healthy Fournette back. One thing is for sure- Jones II is a must-start any time Fournette is out because head coach Bruce Arians clearly trusts him. He'll get a Week 5 matchup against a Bears Defense that is beatable on the ground.
