Drew Lock Watches Practice From Sidelines Tuesday
4 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) may have entered the week with a “50-50” chance to play Sunday versus New England, but the fact that he was not practicing Tuesday is not a step in the right direction for his status. Lock has been sidelined since sustaining a strained rotator cuff during Week 2, with the team optimistic that he could miss as few as two contests. In the case that he won’t be cleared in time, Brett Rypien would presumably remain the starter after a solid outing in a win versus the Jets. No matter who starts under center for the Broncos, they’ll be a tough fantasy choice against a stout Patriots Defense, whose strength is in it’s secondary. Check back throughout the week for updates on Lock’s status as he eyes a return to the practice field.
