Cardinals Defense Primed For Bounce-Back Outing In Week 5
4 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals Defense has been one of the league’s fastest-rising units in season-long formats this season, primarily on the back of the 11 sacks that the team compiled in its first three games. But after a zero-sack, 31-point drubbing at the hands of Carolina, Arizona is back in the catbird seat for Week 5, facing a Jets offense that has been ravaged by injuries, and at best, ineffective. While Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) is slated to return off of injured reserve, Sam Darnold’s (quarterback) status is up in the air, with Joe Flacco looming. Factor in that the Jets’ skill players out wide aren’t exactly slate breakers, are it’s easy to see why the Cardinals have returned to their high DFS price tag for Week 5. Rostered in just over half of ESPN season-long leagues, Arizona is a defensive unit with high upside against an offense that has proven itself plodding through the first quarter of the year.
