J.A. Happ Struggles On Tuesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher J.A. Happ struggled against the Rays on Tuesday, allowing four runs over 2 2/3 innings after replacing starter Deivi Garcia in the second inning. The Yankees started Garcia in an attempt to give Happ a platoon advantage, but a pair of righties (Mike Zunino and Manuel Margot) took Happ deep anyway. The Yankees have yet to set their rotation for the rest of the playoffs, and it’s not clear if Happ will draw another start (or post-opener start), but Happ’s 4.57 FIP from the regular season suggests that he shouldn’t be a primary option for DFS players, even if he starts again.
