Patriots COVID-19 Outbreak Continues, Game Still Set Monday
4 years agoThe New England Patriots had an additional member of the organization test positive for COVID-19 on Sunday morning, further complicating the team’s return to the field. But per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the league is still planning on holding New England versus Denver on Monday night as part of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. The Patriots have had their facility shut down three times in the past 10 days due to an outbreak within the franchise that is believed to have first affected quarterback Cam Newton. Despite the nature of the spread, New England was able to play its contest against Kansas City earlier in the week before having the game versus the Broncos shifted to Monday. Check back for the latest updates on the evolving situation.
