Dwayne Haskins Jr. To Be Inactive For Week 5
4 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. not only won’t be starting Sunday’s contest against Los Angeles, he’ll be inactive. Haskins will not even be inside the stadium for the game, which is slated to see Kyle Allen make his first start at the helm with Washington. Backing him up will be Alex Smith, who has also made a push for playing time. Haskins has started 11 games since Washington took him 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft and he has completed 59.6 percent of his passes with 11 passing touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He is reportedly battling a stomach virus and the organization decided to keep him home out of an abundance of caution, although it doesn't appear likely he'll reclaim the starting gig in the short-term.
