Indianapolis Sticks With Philip Rivers As Starting QB For Week 6
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich confirmed Monday that Philip Rivers would remain the team’s starting quarterback moving forward after a rocky performance Sunday against Cleveland. The question of Rivers’ removal exists primarily due to the presence of Jacoby Brissett as his backup, who had previously served as the organization’s starter in 2017 and ‘19. While Rivers has delivered a 70.8 completion percentage through his first five games as a Colt, he has tossed just four touchdowns and slung five interceptions. Aside from two-QB season-long formats, or heavily contrarian DFS lineups, Rivers holds little fantasy intrigue for Week 6 against Cincinnati despite the vote of confidence from his head coach.
