Raheem Mostert Likely Heading To Injured Reserve
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (ankle) is “most likely” headed toward a stint on the Injured Reserve due to a high ankle sprain, per 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. Mostert had just worked his way back from a knee injury but will now miss considerable time with another lower-body injury, paving the way for Jerick McKinnon to become a fantasy commodity in nearly any-sized season-long league. A full-time starter for the first time this season, Mostert has averaged 5.9 yards per carry over four contests. Those with IR slots available in season-long formats can wait on his ankle injury to heal, while DFS fantasy managers can begin eyeing McKinnon on Sunday versus New England. Jeff Wilson Jr. could also be flex-worthy with Mostert sidelined again.
