Giovani Bernard Steps In As No. 1 Against Browns
4 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard will serve as the No. 1 option out of the backfield on Sunday against Cleveland. With Joe Mixon (foot) out of the equation, the 28-year-old has a chance to make a dent on the fantasy front against a Browns Defense that has struggled against the run over the past few weeks. While Bernard isn't the most impactful rusher on the planet, he does possess a James White-Esque skillset that makes him a lethal threat as a pass-catcher. With rookie signal-caller Joe Burrow racking up four 300-yard passing outings this season, the former Tar Heel could be one of the most effective waiver wire pickups for Week 7 in addition to being a DFS value play with enormous potential.
