Justin Jackson Remains A Strong Flex Option
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson faces a favorable matchup in Week 9 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Jackson has started every game with Austin Ekeler (hamstring) sidelined and has outplayed rookie Joshua Kelley during that span. Jackson should continue to see the most work out of the Chargers backfield versus a Raiders defense allowing 93 yards on the ground per game and six catches for 55 yards per game to opposing runners. Managers shouldn't be worried about Kelley stealing snaps anymore, but with the emergence of Troymaine Pope (concussion) in Week 8, managers shouldn't expect Jackson to get the full amount of work. There is a chance that Pope may miss Sunday's contest with a concussion and if he does, Jackson should be bumped up from a flex option to a RB2 with upside.
