4 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley (foot) is not expected to play in Week 9 against the Broncos. Ridley wasn't able to practice at all this week while Atlanta has a bye coming up in Week 10. It makes too much sense to play it safe and sit their star wideout, especially considering he seems to have avoided a more serious injury. If Ridley is indeed out, more opportunities would be available to receiver Russell Gage and tight end Hayden Hurst, with Julio Jones already commanding an elite share. Gage would enter the WR4 discussion while Hurst would be a solid TE1.--Tim Capurso
