Joshua Kelley Continues To See Less Work
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie running back Joshua Kelley continues to struggle in his debut season. The rookie rushed nine time for 28 yards and caught five balls for 31 yards. Kelley opened the season as the Chargers backup, but has quickly slid down the depth chart. Kelley lost action to Troymaine Pope (concussion) in Week 8, but Pope was sidelined with a concussion Sunday. Even though starter Justin Jackson (knee) left Sunday's game after one drive, it was Kalen Ballage who received the bulk of the work out of the backfield and not Kelley. Kelley's continued demotions and likely return of Pope and Jackson in Week 10 and eventual return of Austin Ekeler (hamstring) makes Kelley someone that should be left on the waiver wire.
