4 years agoWith his first fight in 16 months due to injuries stemming from his title bout against Jon Jones, Thiago Santos took to the Octagon with a chance to climb back into the title picture. Unfortunately, Santos was taken to the mat by the very dangerous ground specialist in Glover Teixeira, and he was submitted in the third round. Santos was only able to land 40 significant strikes and was taken down four times by Teixeira. This was going to be a tough rebound bout for Santos after such a long injury layoff. The knockout power is still there, though, and it would not be a surprise if Santos gets back into his destructive groove.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
