4 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Mike Davis was relegated to the bench for just one game, it turns out. Fellow back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) made his return to the lineup, though he suffered a sprain in his shoulder late in the game and is out for Week 10 against the Buccaneers' stout run defense. Enter Davis- who averaged 18.8 touches and 86.5 scrimmage yards per game along with four touchdowns scored in five games as the lead back. The veteran might find the sledding tough against Tampa Bay's top-ranked run defense, though his passing game prowess should keep him in the RB2 conversation.--Tim Capurso
