Amari Cooper Fades Into Low-End WR2 Ranks
4 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper was previously looked at as a fantasy WR1, but given all of the struggles on the Cowboys offense this season and the loss of quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle), he's faded into the back end of the WR2 ranks. The Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 make for a good matchup for Cooper and the Cowboys, but with uncertainty at quarterback, it's hard to know what to make of their opportunities. Andy Dalton is expected to return to the starting lineup and should be able to provide something close to league-average quarterback play. Cooper caught five passes for 67 yards in Week 9 after catching just one pass in Week 8. He's more likely to repeat his Week 9 performance, but the volatility in the Cowboys offense leaves a Week 8 repeat as a possibility as well. Cooper is a WR2 with some upside but a low floor this week.
