4 years agoVeteran running back LeGarrette Blount announced his retirement from the NFL on Saturday, ending a nine-year career that ended three times with a Super Bowl victory. Blount's best individual season came in 2016 when he led the NFL in rushing touchdowns (18) with the Patriots. Known for his bruising rushing style, Blount carried considerable fantasy intrigue when on the field due to his propensity for receiving carries near the goal line. Having been out of the league since an '18 stint with the Lions, Blount was firmly off all season-long radars, but he can now receive an official tip of the cap from fantasy managers for his years of production.--Jesse Borek
