4 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee, COVID-19) is still "a couple of weeks away" from returning, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Edelman was placed on Injured Reserve after undergoing a knee procedure, but the veteran receiver was also recently placed on the COVID/Reserve list. While there are still hurdles for Edelman to clear, head coach Bill Belichick noted that a lot would have to happen for him to rule his best receiver out. Even if Edelman returns, it's fair to wonder how effective he'll be in a run-first offense that ranks 30th in the league in pass attempts.--Tim Capurso
