ANALYSIS: Don't look now, but are we experiencing a veteran-WR renaissance led by the likes of T.Y. Hilton and A.J. Green? It's been three weeks in a row now for Hilton hitting 18+ PPR points, and A.J. Green joined him this Sunday with an 18.2 PPR-performance against the Cowboys. Could we really be into something here?
This is a desperate target to consider only in deep leagues and a gamble for very needy GMs with room to spare in their rosters or glaring holes in their lineups. Hilton has stringed three great games, so I'm quite confident he's found his place once for all in the 2020 Colts offense. Green, though, has had some booming games of 14+ PPR points this season but they've been completely unpredictable and happened at random points. In fact, these are Green scores since Week 4: 1.3, 0.0, 17.6, 15.2, 3.9, 0.0, 14.1, 0.0, 0.0, 18.2. Try finding a pattern in there...
If Green could somehow keep up his last level of play, though, he'd probably win next weekend to his GMs and put them through the fantasy playoffs final in Week 16. Green scored 18.2 PPR points against a Cowboys Defense that allowed him to catch 6-of-7 targets for 62 yards and a touchdown. That marked Green's best game of the year in PPR leagues.
Cincinnati closes the fantasy season facing the 15th- and 23rd-best defenses against wideouts this year, which should bode well for Green. The problem is that Green put up a goose age against Pitt in W10, which lowers his upside a lot for next week. Even then, and given his W14 rebound, some needy GMs might find a good "what-the-heck" play in him ROS.
