4 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton will remain under center for at least another week as the team remains in playoff contention for its contest Sunday against San Francisco. Head coach Mike McCarthy was asked Monday whether or not Garrett Gilbert would get an opportunity to see repetitions down the stretch, but he replied only that Dalton would be the team's QB versus the 49ers. Dalton hasn't exactly replicated the success of Dak Prescott in his absence, but the veteran has thrown for multiple touchdowns in three of his four games since returning from a concussion. Dalton has averaged 34.5 pass attempts per contest in that span, giving him some upside in leagues that start two QBs, as the Cowboys have a plethora of talent at the wide receiver position. The vast majority of Dallas' skill players would see a slight reduction in fantasy appeal should Gilbert take over under center at any point to close out the season.--Jesse Borek
