4 years agoLas Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III has been placed on the COVID-19 list as of Tuesday, meaning that he will miss Thursday's game versus the Chargers. Players do not have to test positive in order to be placed on the list. Ruggs has held down a modest role in the Raiders passing game, having snagged three receptions in four of his last five contests, one of which included the game-winning score versus the Jets in Week 13. His absence will allow Nelson Agholor, Hunter Renfrow, Bryan Edwards and Zay Jones to benefit from a potential upticks in targets. The matchup would have been a stingy one to rely upon Ruggs regardless, as the Chargers Defense has allowed the fifth-fewest receiving yards to opposing wideouts in 2020. If Riggs was just a high-risk close contact, he could conceivably be back in time for the team's Week 16 matchup versus Miami.--Jesse Borek
