4 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Chase Daniel completed 13 of 18 passes for only 86 yards in the Lions 47-7 blowout loss to the Buccaneers in Week 16. Daniel replaced starter Matthew Stafford (leg) after he hobbled off the field early in the game, but the veteran backup couldn't get anything going offensively. Daniel was later replaced by third-stringer David Blough with the game well out of reach. The Lions season is over, so Stafford suiting up in Week 17 feels like a long shot at this point. Even if Daniel gets the start, he will only carry deep-league QB2 status in the final game of the season against the Vikings.--Joey C - RotoBaller
