Giants Optimistic Evan Engram Can Play In Week 17
4 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (ankle) has his status up in the air for Sunday's game versus Dallas due to an ankle injury that he sustained in Week 16. Head coach Joe Judge was "optimistic" about Engram's outlook as of Monday, although there's plenty of time remaining in the week for the Pro Bowl tight end to clear up his status through practice sessions. Having logged 10 targets for the fourth time in a contest this year versus Baltimore, Engram figures to retain his sizable role in the passing game should he ultimately get the green light; if the ailment keeps him out, expect Kaden Smith to see an increased role, but not be nearly the same factor that Engram has been. Check back throughout the week for updates on his status as they become available.
