4 years agoDetroit Lions backup quarterback Chase Daniel took repetitions with the first-team offense on Wednesday as Matthew Stafford (ankle, thumb, ribs) continues to be sidelined. It certainly is trending toward Daniel starting in Week 17 against the Vikings, a team the veteran backup also saw action against in Week 9. If Daniel is the starter, expectations need to be tempered for the rest of the Lions offensive weapons. The veteran passer has the knowledge to run a passable offense but lacks any kind of fantasy upside. At best, Daniel will be a low-end QB2 for those in superflex leagues in the final week of the regular season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
