4 years agoESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots and quarterback Cam Newton are expected to part ways this offseason. Newton struggled as a passer in his one season in New England but continued to make an impact as a rusher, adding 12 rushing touchdowns. Newton still has value to a team due to his rushing upside, but it's unclear what the quarterback market will look like this offseason, especially with a deep QB class in the draft. Jarrett Stidham could end up competing for the starting job in New England, but it's hard to imagine a world where the future quarterback for the Patriots is on the current roster.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
