4 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard ran for just seven yards on three attempts during the loss to Baltimore on Sunday. After getting a combined 41 carries and nine targets over the previous two games heading into Week 17, the veteran didn't get much going. Instead, he split time with Trayveon Williams and Samaje Perine. The 29-year-old is signed with the team through next season, but with his name floating around in trade rumors during the last offseason, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was dealt elsewhere before the 2021 campaign begins. Nonetheless, Joe Mixon (foot), who missed 10 games during the year, is expected back in Week 1, so Bernard would likely return to his usual role, catching passes out of the backfield if he returns to the team.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
