Browns Defense Quiet In Week 17 Win
4 years agoThe Cleveland Browns Defense failed to capitalize on an excellent matchup against the Mason Rudolph-led Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. Cleveland managed just one sack and forced just one turnover, a Rudolph interception, in a 24-22 win. The sack was provided by Olivier Vernon, who later had to be carted to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter. Vernon is scheduled for an MRI on Monday. His injury could be a big loss for the Cleveland defense if he is unable to suit up for their Wild Card matchup against this same Steelers team. Even if Vernon plays, the Browns will have a much tougher task next week with Ben Roethlisberger slated to return to action after sitting out of the Week 17 contest.
