Browns Defense Not A Strong Fantasy Option
4 years agoThe Cleveland Browns Defense will hit the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs. Cleveland's defense was an opportunistic unit during the early portion of the regular season, as they spent much of the first half of the year near the league lead in takeaways, although they tailed off in that category as the year went on. They will also be forced to play without defensive end Olivier Vernon, as the veteran tore his Achilles' tendon during Week 17's win over Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh offense was a tough matchup for fantasy defenses during the regular season, allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. The Browns are installed as six-point road underdogs and are not in a spot where they can be trusted in playoff contests this weekend.
