Kansas City Rules Out Patrick Mahomes Due To Concussion
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's Divisional Round game versus Cleveland. Mahomes departed in the third quarter after coming up wobbly following a tackle on a QB scramble. The team took Mahomes into the tent on the sidelines, before he was able to run into the locker room to undergo further evaluation. Upon additional testing, he has been diagnosed with a concussion, which means that Chad Henne will assume QB duties for the rest of the game. The next chance that Mahomes would have to suit up comes next Sunday in the AFC Championship Game versus Buffalo if Kansas City can close out the Browns, although Mahomes will still need to clear concussion protocol for that to happen.
