4 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Vitek Vanecek will start Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The rookie netminder was stellar in his NHL debut on Friday, stopping 30-of-31 shots in a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Ilya Samsonov is the presumption No.1 goaltender in Washington, but that does not mean Vanecek has no value. The 25-year-old is a viable streaming option whenever he guards the cage and would be a must-grab asset if Samsonov were ever to miss time.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
