4 years agoSeventh-ranked flyweight Joanne Calderwood (14-5) has lost two of her last three bouts and needs a big win against the sixth-ranked Jessica Eye on Saturday to stay near the top of the division. Instead of waiting for a title shot against the champion, Calderwood took a bout against Jessica Maia in August of last year. Calderwood lost via first-round submission and lost her title opportunity as a result. She'll need a few more wins to get another title shot, and it starts against a tough opponent in Eye.
