4 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets right wing Cam Atkinson notched a short-handed goal in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Florida, adding a game-high five shots and one block. It's his first goal of the season, and it extended his point streak to three games. Columbus got off to a great start with Kevin Stenlund and Alexandre Texier scoring inside the first 10 minutes, but the team failed to build on it. Following a 41-goal outburst in 2018-19, Atkinson had a down year last season and he started off 2020-21 with a poor four-game pointless streak as well, but the 31-year-old has some nice momentum now and he gets to showcase it against Florida again on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
