4 years agoFree-agent right-handed pitcher Jake Odorizzi remains one of the top arms still available to sign entering February with spring training just weeks away. Jon Morosi of MLB Network pegs the Angels, Blue Jays, Giants, Red Sox and Twins as the expected top suitors, while the Mets remain perpetually in the mix to further bolster their rotation. Many of the aforementioned clubs are still waiting to see where they stand in the Trevor Bauer sweepstakes, so Odorizzi's market may remain mostly static until Bauer makes his final call. Depending on where Odorizzi lands, he should draw solid season-long intrigue after being named an All-Star in 2019 before injuries limited him to four starts last year with Minnesota. Pitcher's parks such as Oracle Park would work for him on the surface, while a spot on the Mets staff would give him a strong offense at his backing for a potential bounce-back season.--Jesse Borek
