4 years agoToronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews produced his first multi-goal performance of the season on Thursday, picking up the team's first and third marker in a big 7-3 victory over Vancouver. He also tallied a game-high seven shots and delivered two hits in 17:46 on the ice. Matthews has now scored in six consecutive games to take his total tally for the season to eight goals. The North Division looks like a dreamland for snipers like Matthews, as it contains two of the worst defensive teams in the league in the Canucks and the Ottawa Senators.
