4 years agoWith only three losses in his lengthy professional MMA career, Diego Ferreira (17-3) has now lost two of those bouts to the surging Beneil Dariush. It was a closely contested battle on Saturday, though, as Ferreira only lost via split decision. Through the 15 minutes of action, Ferreira was able to tally 54 significant strikes (74 total strikes) but was taken down five times. The 36-year-old Brazilian has hit a major road block in his bid to get on track to win a UFC title, losing a crucial bout. It's likely that we'll see Ferreira get a more favorable matchup next time around, and it would be no surprise to see him surge.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
