4 years agoComing into Saturday night's main event as a huge favorite, Alexander Volkov (33-8) delivered, earning a second-round TKO over veteran Alistair Overeem. In 7:06 of action, Volkov tallied 54 significant strikes, including the huge left hand that dropped Overeem in the second round. Edging out Overeem in the first frame of action, Volkov continued to pour it on in the second round, eventually dropping Overeem and landing several shots that led to the referee calling the contest. Ranked at No. 6 in the heavyweight division coming into the contest, he should move up after scoring a dominant win over the fifth-ranked heavyweight in the UFC.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
