4 years agoAlistair Overeem (47-19) suffered a crucial defeat at the hands of fellow top-10 fighter in Alexander Volkov on Saturday in what Overeem said was his last push for a world championship. In 7:06 of action, Overeem collected only 10 significant strikes before being defeated by a second-round TKO stoppage. With so much tread worn off his tires with his extensive MMA and kickboxing career, this may be the end of Overeem in the UFC. If we do see him again, it will probably be in a much more favorable matchup, potentially against someone near the bottom of the top-15 rankings.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
