4 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Curtis McElhinney finally saw some action on Monday against Nashville, and he performed well in his season debut, saving 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 victory. The veteran netminder isn't expected to feature much this season, but he proved that he will be ready when called upon. McElhinney had been a solid backup goalie throughout his career and he had an 8-7-3 record for Tampa last season with one shutout, a 2.89 goals-against average, and a .906 save percentage.
