Derek Fisher Traded To Brewers
4 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers made a deal on Monday night, acquiring outfielder Derek Fisher from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Brewers agreed to send a player to be named and cash to Toronto to complete the swap. The Jays had designated Fisher for assignment last Thursday to clear a 40-man roster spot for former Brewers reliever David Phelps. Fisher ranked as high as No. 4 on MLB Pipeline's list of Houston's top prospects before his 2017 promotion. He slashed .279/.374/.486 with 111 stolen bases in 505 games across six minor league seasons. Fisher may have trouble finding consistent at-bats to begin the season, as he joins a group of outfielders who will vie for at-bats behind projected Brewers starters Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain and Avisail Garcia. He's only worth a look in very deep dynasty leagues.
