4 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins will record his sixth start of the season on Thursday against Nashville. The Latvian netminder missed a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury before making a relief appearance in Monday's 7-3 loss to Columbus. He gave up two goals on nine shots in the contest, so he didn't exactly look sharp in his return. Merzlikins is 2-2-1 for the year with a 2.95 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. He had an awful time against the Predators in his first appearance of the season, giving up five goals with 33 shots, so fantasy managers should look at other options in goal on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
