Eugenio Suarez Lost Weight Over Offseason
4 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez will report to Spring Training in much better shape than he was in during the 2020 season. Suarez told reporters on Wednesday that he lost about 15 pounds during the offseason by concentrating on eating a better diet. He went on to state that he felt slow last season and that his footwork wasn't where he wanted it to be. Suarez turned in a mildly disappointing 2020 season at the plate, hitting just .202 with 15 homers, 29 runs, and 38 RBI across 198 at-bats. A lowered playing weight is far from a guarantee but it certainly can't hurt this production. Suarez has some bounce-back potential and could reward fantasy managers who take a chance on him in drafts this spring.
