4 years agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Brennen Davis has been added to the Cubs Major League Spring Training roster as a non-roster invitee. Davis, 21, is a universal top 100 prospect and was part of the Cubs 60-man player pool this past season, but did not see any big league action. Davis has yet to play above Single-A, but hit .305 with eight home runs, 30 RBI and an impressive .907 OPS in 50 games in 2019. The outfielder has shown promise by being able to hit for contact and power, but he will need to work on his plate discipline to reach his maximum potential. Davis is likely to get more seasoning in the minor leagues to start 2020, but it will still be a good experience for the youngster to be with the big league camp this offseason. Davis is unlikely to offer much value in redraft leagues this season, but he is someone for managers to start considering in dynasty and keeper leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
