4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfield prospect Julio Rodriguez is only 20 years old, and yet it's possible that he could make his big-league debut for the Mariners in 2021. The right-handed outfielder has been in the news recently for the most unfortunate of reasons, having been unfairly criticized for his English skills by the now-ousted Mariners CEO Kevin Mather. If and when he makes his debut, he'll be known for his prodigious bat. Back in his last game action in 2018, the then-18-year-old Rodriguez lit up High-A competition to the tune of a .390 on-base percentage and .540 slugging percentage. It's a long way from High-A to the majors, but following Mather's resignation, the pressure is now on Seattle to promote their young players. If Rodriguez is able to prove he's ready, he could bring some much-needed pop to Seattle's lineup. If he's available in keeper/dynasty formats, Rodriguez needs to be added ASAP.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
