4 years agoMinnesota Twins starter J.A. Happ (COVID-19) is close to making his return after testing positive for the virus a week ago. Happ has been asymptomatic, with manager Rocco Baldelli noting that the veteran left-hander has been able to throw and stay in good shape. The team is optimistic that he'll be ready to go for the first week of the season. Happ stands to benefit from leaving the homer-friendly confines of Yankee Stadium, as he posted fly-ball rates below his career averages but gave up the most home runs per nine innings of his career in two-and-a-half seasons in the Bronx. The 38-year-old has posted an ERA below 4.00 in five of the last six seasons and could have a path to double-digit wins pitching behind a powerful Twins' offense.--Tim Capurso
