4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Trevor Bauer posted two scoreless frames with two strikeouts in his first appearance with L.A. While there was considerable pomp around his free agency, fantasy managers shouldn't lose sight of the production that the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner has compiled. Many have pointed to Bauer's 3.90 career ERA as reason for not viewing him in the elite tier, but it's hard to fathom how his early-career struggles could have any impact on his current role entering 2021. With the backing of a powerful Dodgers offense, in addition to being on the heels of amassing an eye-popping 276 ERA+ last season, Bauer should likely come off the board in the first 2-3 rounds of all season-long drafts provided that he stays healthy through Cactus League play.--Jesse Borek
