ANALYSIS: Joe Ingles has gone from starting more than 60 percent of the Jazz games last season to less than 30 percent this campaign. That's not really a problem for the franchise as they sit atop the NBA entering the AS break, and it is not that Ingles' numbers are hurting that much either. In fact, Ingles has been great in the past month of play going back to Feb. 5 while playing 14 games in that span and starting half of them.
In the last month Joe Ingles has played an average of 29 MPG, starts and bench-games combined. The difference in minutes amounts to around five per game (30 starting to 25 off the pine) which is not that large. His per-minute production has stayed the same in both scenarios, sitting at the 0.90 FP/min league average.
Ingles is a magnificent spot-up shooter. He's carrying a 52 percent shooting from the floor on the season, a great 46 percent from the three-point line, and an even better 70 percent true shooting so far this year. Only three players are putting up that TS% on the year while attempting 7+ FGA per game, including Joe, and the other two are big men Jarrett Allen and Thomas Bryant. Ingles will give you points, threes, rebounds, and impossibly-great shooting percentages. The rostership is already at 50% in all of Yahoo leagues.
