4 years agoFree-agent third baseman Maikel Franco has entered the first week of March without an organization to call home for the 2021 year. After having been non-tendered by the Royals at the end of last season, Franco has labored on the market; although it appears that the Orioles and other clubs have expressed interest in bringing him aboard. Having played in all 60 regular-season contests last year, Franco slashed .278/.321/.457 with his second-highest career OPS+ (109). Baltimore currently has Rio Ruiz slotted in at third, although it's possible that Franco/Ruiz could form a platoon if the Orioles do ultimately come to terms with the veteran.--Jesse Borek
