Justin Dunn Throws Two Uneven Innings
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Justin Dunn has the inside track on the sixth spot in the starting rotation, and began stating his case Saturday against the Athletics. After a rough first inning in which he loaded the bases with a hit and two walks, Dunn rebounded to set down the side in order in the second inning. As the only right-handed rotation option for the Mariners, Dunn should have some leeway in his battle with Nick Margevicius, but he does not look like a fantasy option at this point. That could change if his strikeout rate reaches his minor league numbers, which sat three full strikeouts per nine innings higher than his career MLB rate of 7.39.
