Evan White Strong In Simulated Game
4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White took part in a simulated game Sunday morning, hitting an RBI double to right-center field off of reliever Kendall Graveman and a line drive homer off of starter Marco Gonzales. White struggled mightily in 2020, striking out 41.6 percent of the time while recording a slash line of .176/.252/.346 in his rookie year. Having signed a six year contract prior to the 2020 season, White enters 2021 with something to prove. Last year, White did manage to record a hard hit and barrel percent in the 90th and 95th percentile, respectively, so there are some bright spots to build on. If he can turn it around this season, White could became a post-hype fantasy option at a surprisingly shallow first base position.
