4 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Grayson Greiner left Sunday's game under his own power after being hit in the face by Elvis Luciano of the Toronto Blue Jays. With Wilson Ramos expected to start at catcher, Greiner is battling Jake Rogers and Dustin Garneau for playing time in 2021 so the club will hope that this is not a long-term injury that will impact the club's depth behind the plate. Greiner struggled with the bat last season and hit just .118 with a 36% strikeout rate in 18 games. However, he has some upside in the power department at 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds. Despite his contact issues in 2020, Greiner posted a massive 25-degree launch angle and 42% hard-hit-ball rate.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
